Founded in 2010, the UK Pool & Spa Awards is a competition that is open to all companies involved in the delivery of water leisure, regardless of trade association affiiation.
The aim of the competition is to raise profile for individual pool and spa businesses and the industry as a whole.
The UK Pool & Spa Awards has earned itself a reputation as one of the water leisure industry’s most valuable marketing tools.
Competition categories cover wet leisure manufacturers, pool and spa wholesalers, retailers, leisure operators across residential and commercial swimming pools, hot tub and swim spas, wellness and other accessories.
Competition Terms
- Competition entrants are charged on submission. There is no discount for overseas companies as this covers the additional costs such as postage.
- Always working in the best interests of the competitors, the organisers reserve the right to switch entries to alternative categories where necessary.
- Any entry that does not adhere to the rules and regulations of the competition may be disqualified.
- The competition organisers make no assertion or indication that design, construction or safety considerations are evaluated in the course of the competition but any project known to not confirm to regulations will be automatically disqualified with no refund of entry fee.
- Pool builds/refurbishments must have been completed during the five-year period prior to the entry deadline.
- A project may be entered in more than one category.
- A project may be resubmitted in subsequent competitions if it meets the competition eligibility and has not won an award previously.
Photography Guidelines
- At least five digital images. Each photo must show a different view of the installation.
- Where appropriate, please include at least one PLANT ROOM photograph.
- Each photo must be in high resolution (300 dpi).
- Before and after pictures must be submitted for the Residential and Commercial Refurbishment categories.
- Images may not be enhanced or altered.
- Please note that any images submitted as part of an entry may be used for promotional purposes by the UK Pool & Spa Awards and Waterland Media publications.
Disclaimer
- The UK Pool and Spa Awards is principally an aesthetic competition. Although basic information is asked for, the competition organisers make no assertion and do not intend to indicate that design, construction or safety considerations are evaluated as part of the voting process in the competition.
- All claims of compliance with any standard, code or regulations are those made by entrants themselves. However, if a pool is proved to be non-compliant – it will be immediately be removed from the competition with no return of the entry fee.
- Project winners in each category are exempt from entering the same project in subsequent competitions but can enter the same project in a separate category.
- The organisers reserve the right to withdraw prizes if the winning company is not represented by an individual or individuals at the Awards presentation evening.
