Why this entry deserves to win
We believe this project deserves to win because it showcases what Advanced Hot Tubs can deliver when scale, quality and customer experience all come together. Supplying 11 hot tubs to Lost Shore Surf Resort was a significant project, and we didn’t simply supply the tubs and walk away. We worked closely with the customer to understand their vision, overcome practical challenges and ensure the finished installation delivered the premium wellness experience they wanted for their guests. This project required a complete different level of planning and attention to detail. Lost Shore is home to Europe’s largest wave pool and is one of Scotland’s most exciting destinations, so the hot tubs needed to complement an exceptional guest experience from the moment they arrived. Our main selling point was the combination of premium relaxation and practicality. We selected the Vacation Retreat from our Vacation Range because it was ideally suited to the demands of a busy commercial environment, including its compatibility with the HSG282-regulated chemical system. Design information
The overall theme was inspired by Lost Shore’s vision of creating a premium wellness experience for its guests, so we wanted the hot tubs to feel like a natural part of the resort rather than simply an additional product. We worked closely with the Lost Shore team to select the Vacation Retreat from our Vacation Range, which was particularly well suited to the project due to its compatibility with the HSG282-regulated chemical system, making ongoing maintenance more straightforward in a busy commercial environment. Alongside the practical considerations, aesthetics and the guest experience were equally important. We wanted a hot tub that complemented Lost Shore’s high-end surroundings while providing guests with a genuine space to relax and unwind in there lodges. We approached the installation collaboratively, initially trialling one tub to determine the ideal positioning, orientation and overall setting. This allowed us to assess how it worked within the space and refine the final design before rolling out the full collection of 11 tubs. The result is a considered installation where every tub has been selected and positioned with both the resort’s visual identity and the guest wellness experience in mind.

Alongside the practical considerations, aesthetics and the guest experience were equally important. We wanted a hot tub that complemented Lost Shore’s high-end surroundings while providing guests with a genuine space to relax and unwind. One of the key challenges we overcame was finding the most practical positioning for the hot tubs while maintaining the high-quality guest experience Lost Shore wanted. We initially trialled the hot tubs on the decking, but this presented a number of practical challenges. Installation would have required sections of the decking to be removed, while we also had to consider access for servicing and how the cover and cover lifters would operate once the tubs were in position. It quickly became clear that this wasn’t the most practical long-term solution. Rather than compromise on the guest experience, we worked with Lost Shore to rethink the layout. We created a separate area next to the decking on the ground, providing a purpose-built space for the hot tubs to sit. This made the installation process much more straightforward, while also giving the tubs better access for servicing and maintenance. It allowed guests to easily operate the cover and access the tubs without obstruction, creating a cleaner and more functional setup that worked for both the resort operationally and, most importantly, for the guest. By trialling the original positioning before committing to the final installation, we were able to identify the challenges early, adapt the design and deliver a solution that was far more practical and considered.
