An intricately designed and bespoke telescopic swimming pool enclosure, installed by Alukov UK over an existing swimming pool to benefit a client with health conditions.

Why this entry deserves to win

We were approached by our client for help with her ongoing and debilitating Osteoporosis condition after being signposted by her consultant. Our client's acute Osteoporosis meant that weightless exercise in her swimming pool would vastly benefit her health conditions, and she needed to access this facility as often as possible, whenever her condition would allow. The problem was this need was simply not being met by her current open air outdoor swimming pool facility due to the climatic conditions of the UK and the nature of her varying abilities on any given day. Our client wanted to be able to utilise her investment at the exact times that her disability allowed her to do so, whilst also having the flexibility of a completely open-air pool during the best of the British Summer months.In collaboration, we specified the Tropea Progress model as the client wanted a spacious feel whilst inside the pool, without having the view of her wider garden surroundings being blocked by anything too tall when standing outside. This base model was then specified to achieve her exact needs.
