Integrating a Compass Fit 60 swim spa with a Georgian home, our interior designer client collaborated with garden designers to achieve seamless architectural integration. By continuing limestone flooring to the poolside, the installation reads as a structural extension of the house rather than a garden addition. The Nova Grey shell, inspired by holiday memories of Croatia, adds personal depth to a design that prioritises indoor-outdoor living and visual cohesion.

This is a winning entry because it shows what happens when a pool is designed with the same intent as the rest of the home, rather than fitted into whatever garden space was left over. The brief here came from an interior designer working with a garden designer from the outset, and the result reflects that. Compass Pools by Waterstream’s role was to make the technical side disappear into that vision. The compact Fit 60 model, cover and filtration package were specified to support the design rather than dictate it, keeping the poolside uncluttered and the sight line from the house clear. The result is a pool that functions as part of the architecture of the home, demonstrating Compass's ability to work fluently with designers rather than simply install to a standard spec.

The customer approached this project as an interior designer first, working alongside a garden designer to treat the pool as part of the house's overall design language rather than a separate garden feature. The compact Compass Fit 60 model was selected specifically because its footprint suited this integration. A larger pool would have competed for space and disrupted the flow the design was built around. Materials carried the interior scheme outside directly: the same natural limestone flooring and tiling used inside the home continues around the pool area, so the transition from the house to poolside reads as one continuous surface rather than a change in setting. The Nova Grey shell colour was chosen with the same intention. Compass's shell colours are designed to evoke specific holiday destinations, and Nova Grey was selected because it represents Croatia, a place with real personal significance to the client. The colour choice sits within the same design logic as the flooring and layout: nothing in this scheme is decorative for its own sake.

Specification: Fit 60 heat pump, Coverseal cover, standard pump, compact filtration package, chlorine feeder, single 215 turbine, one white pool light positioned opposite the steps. The installation was managed with a focus on precision, with the client handling the initial excavation to Compass's specifications. The filtration and plant equipment are positioned discreetly eight metres away to ensure the technical elements remain hidden. This layout creates a clean, social hub where the water and garden features work together, reflecting a practical yet high-end approach to outdoor living. The compact plant room and Fit 60 shell were specified deliberately to suit the design priority of keeping the poolside area visually uncluttered, supporting the sight line from the house rather than working against it.
